Cephas is the Knott Dynamics browser release for privacy-first GTK/WebKit browsing and local agent workflows on Linux desktops.

Cephas is part of the Knott Dynamics public software line. Cephas is the Knott Dynamics browser release for privacy-first GTK/WebKit browsing and local agent workflows on Linux desktops.

What It Does

Cephas packages a GTK/WebKit browser surface with local agent tooling. The current crate line publishes a real cephas binary and keeps browser privacy, desktop integration, and local operator control at the center of the public package.

Why It Matters

Browser tooling becomes easier to audit when the browsing surface and local automation hooks are packaged explicitly. Cephas gives the browser line a public Cargo release with source, docs, and versioned release pages that can be tracked as it matures.

Operator Notes

  • Use Cephas when a Linux browser workflow should stay close to local GTK/WebKit and local agent tooling.
  • Track the 0.1.x line closely because the package moved quickly after crossing the public catalog threshold.
  • Use crates.io and docs.rs links as the stable public package references while backend release sync matures.

Release Shape

The current public build tracks Cephas v0.1.21, 179 package downloads, and 22 published versions.
