KTop is a Linux process monitor with a Scrin TUI, Aisling visual passes, spotlight grep, anomaly mode, tree mode, and CLI fast paths.

KTop is part of the Knott Dynamics public software line. KTop is a Linux process monitor with a Scrin TUI, Aisling visual passes, spotlight grep, anomaly mode, tree mode, and CLI fast paths.

What It Does

KTop reads Linux process data, presents it through a Scrin terminal interface, adds Aisling-driven color and effect passes, supports spotlight filtering, mouse actions, anomaly mode, tree mode, and bounded non-TUI command paths.

Why It Matters

Process monitors are operational tools. KTop keeps the useful data close to the terminal while making process shape, filtering, and anomalies easier to scan quickly.

Operator Notes

  • Use spotlight filtering when a process list is too dense to scan manually.
  • Use tree mode when parent-child relationships matter more than raw process totals.
  • Use non-TUI paths when scripts need quick process snapshots.
